October is National Cybersecurity Month!

Cybersecurity is like crabgrass. You probably don't pay any attention to it, and it is on the bottom of your list of things you want to think about. Cybersecurity is all about awareness. It's about slowing down and thinking clearly and carefully about how you interface with technology. In the big scheme of things, being mindfull about your practice and aware of the danger signs will insure your wellbeing in an ever-changing technology landscape. STOP. THINK. CONNECT.™, is a global online safety education and awareness campaign. Check out this CSAM infographic for core STOP. THINK. CONNECT.™ tips.

Free Annual Credit Report

With all the recent data breaches, this is a reminder that federal law requires each of the three nationwide credit reporting companies to give you a free credit report every 12 months. To obtain copies of your FREE credit reports go to:, and click on "Request your free credit reports". It's a simple three step process and a secure transaction. To safeguard your online financial information, vigelence is vital, peace of mind - priceless.

I Wish I knew how to do that...

So we asked our inhouse Excel guru Vicki Danko to put together a training course on these 2 specific topics. We are planning this course for December 1st in the Pearson Library computer lab room 130.
