What Stress!!?? @!*%#^!
Fall semester finals and holidays can be very trying times for students. With this in mind, the Pearson Library is pleased to present its “Release the Stress Before the Test” campaign, a week-long series of events starting on Monday, December 8th, dedicated to soothing the stressed academic soul.
First held in 2012, Pearson Library’s “Release the Stress Before the Test” events are among the most popular activities on campus, with opportunities to pet puppies, relax with therapy dogs, and even a miniature horse! Students can sign up for a relaxing massage and dance their worries away in mini rave party complete with glow sticks and music presented in-house by our very own tech/DJ, Edward “DJ Eddie” Nanyaro.
Coffee Coffee Coffee
Thanks to generous support from sponsors, which in the past has included vendors such as Springer, SAGE, Taylor & Francis, JSTOR, and others, the Pearson Library is happy to provide coffee and tea to library patrons during pre-finals. Coffee and tea are refilled twice per day – at 2pm and again at 6pm to help students get through demanding study sessions in the library.
Speaking of Coffee....
Can’t come to the library? Well the library is coming to you! Every day from Monday December 8 – Friday December 12, a Pearson Library information specialist will be available for one-on-one research assistance at Starbucks! Check out the Calendar of Events for specific times.
Art in the Library
Nothing is more relaxing that engaging with beautiful works of art. The Pearson Library is honored to host student artwork from the Religion 482: Art, Islamic Calligraphy, and Qur’an course, with an opening scheduled for December 10 at 6pm in the library lobby. Join us for warm drinks and sweet treats as we celebrate skills of our students and the beauty of the Arabic language. Work will be on display throughout the week.
